Affordable day trip to Yeppoon

Two hours north of where we are currently staying is a little town called Yeppoon. We’d heard the resort there does day passes for those who aren’t interested in staying the night. Perfect! We packed the kidlets into the car & headed out at 8am arriving at 10:00.

A little overkill with the zinc. Ha!

You bypass reception & head down to the activities hut where adults pay $20 each but its returned to you in food & drinks vouchers for the pool side bar & restaurant. Kid under six are free! Now that’s a bargain.

The slide takes center stage

The waterfall & slide.

They also give you pool noodles & the pass includes use of  the pool, waterfall, slide, bar, restaurant, park, spa & sauna.

Little beach side area for sand castles & the water is shallow.

If you want to pay for extras there’s camel & pony rides, a train, bike carts, miniature golf and massages! Ten bucks gets two people a ride on the camel. Having already ridden one years ago in South Africa I figured it was Migs’ & Little D turn 🙂

We returned home at 5pm which gave our family of four a whole days getaway & for only $50! Not bad if you ask me.

A day of fun in the sun!
