Some Favourite Books

We happened upon this quirky little bookstore in Beerwah QLD, & in the window spotted the book below. Dakota loving all things explorer & adventure was as excited as I was. Filled with awesome true stories of real life explorers & lots of how to’s. After going through it with him at lunch I thought it would be nice to share a few of our favourite school books with you.

Explorers

A lucky find

Alison from worldtravelfamily  spoke of the next one on her blog which we ended up buying & really love as well. A bit more advanced but very well done with good, concise history.

A great book full of fun filled facts

Having grown up watching the old classic Around the World in 80 days I was absolutely thrilled to stumble upon this treasure. A fabulous book that takes kids on a trip around the world with lots of cool info put into an informational rhyme.

Something we’ve loved for the past 2 years.

So there you have it… just a few of the books we keep in our bus. Excellent reading & lots of fun.

  1. Just wondering how you fit all the kids stuff into the bus. Do you have a storage base?

    • Amber Luna says:

We have whats left of our household stuff stored in Gladstone & just drove 2,861 km (nearly 2,000 miles) to pick a few things up. We won’t be making that trip very often! So in answer to your question I made the kids crafts, school & books a priority & as such we are carrying everything they need on board.

  2. I got the Frog book and the Explorer one for my littles for Christmas. My seven year old enjoys them. There is also a Scientists book in the same series as the Explorer one that’s real good too… It’s kinda gross and amazing to read what went into many of those cutting edge experiments back in the day. Perfect for a budding little scientist.
